Tipping Guidelines

  • Restaurants (sit-down): 18-22% is now standard in the US. 15% is considered low, 25%+ is excellent service.
  • Delivery: 15-20% of order total, or a minimum of $3-5 for small orders.
  • Bartenders: $1-2 per drink or 15-20% of tab.
  • Hair / salon: 15-25% depending on complexity.
  • Hotel housekeeping: $2-5 per night, left daily.
  • Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): 10-20%, more for long trips or great service.
